What We Do

Our Programs

From its very earliest days, the Niche Clinic has distinguished itself from other financial literacy programs in several important ways:

01

The Niche Clinic is “experiential”

Our students learn by doing. Only minimal direct instruction is needed to set young people on the path toward long-term financial success.

02

The Niche Clinic prioritizes student choice

TNC youth are empowered to set their own goals and chart their own path to success.

03

The Niche Clinic is “learn and earn”

The Niche Clinic provides opportunities to earn real money through short-term internships, project-based learning, and entrepreneurship.

The Laws of Money

The Niche Clinic’s 30-week in-person financial literacy program is modular, allowing our team to tailor it to the youth we serve, who engage for varying lengths of time (1-6 months). Youth attend classes that cover a range of financial literacy-focused topics aligned with state standards including budgeting, investing strategies, banking, macro and microeconomic forces, distinguishing wants from needs, related concepts in mathematics and philosophy, and more.

Pre and post tests establish baseline knowledge and demonstrate growth. Monthly community events provide additional opportunities for peer learning.

TNC’s Standards-aligned curriculum is infinitely adaptable. Our team of educators can tailor our program to your specific needs. Whether you are a school leader seeking an affordable after school program, a parent seeking help with the family budget, or a student looking to save for your education, TNC can help!

Learn & Earn

At TNC, we believe that people learn best through hands-on experiences. All year long, we offer opportunities for individuals aged 12-24 to try out different career paths. You can choose to participate in a short-term project or a longer-term internship. Either way, we’ll help you narrow down your list of career options, roll up your sleeves, and take control of your future. The best part? You’ll get PAID!

Supportive Services

Combining financial literacy with career learning is an innovation that TNC believes will improve the long-term financial capability of our program participants. We also believe in reducing access barriers that could prevent someone from engaging in our program.

To this end, we provide:
  • Transportation assistance
  • Vital document acquisition
  • Financial workshops for families
  • FAFSA filing assistance

Advancement Pathways

Whether an individual is seeking to earn a high school diploma, a professional certification, entry into an apprenticeship program, or even a debt-free college degree, TNC has the network, resources, and local knowledge to bring their educational and professional dreams to life.
